Rind settlement water supply system modernization project
26.09.2025
As part of the modernization program of the water supply system in the Rind settlement of the Areni community, a meeting was held with the head of the enlarged Areni community and the head of the Rind administrative district.
The discussion highlighted the critical importance of the program, particularly the need to increase water availability. Due to climate change, several salt marshes have completely dried up, and the current water supply no longer meets the population’s demand for round-the-clock access. During the summer months, residents receive water for only 2–3 hours a day.
Following the meeting, a site inspection was carried out to examine possible solutions for the program’s effective implementation. As a result, it was decided to construct a reservoir and two new catchments to collect water from two sources.
The community head reaffirmed his commitment to support all stages of the program, stressing that this initiative will not only improve the daily lives of residents but also contribute to the socio-economic development of the community.
