Local treatment facilities (LTF) are a complex designed for the treatment of storm, industrial and domestic wastewater with subsequent discharge into the city sewerage system, further treatment at city facilities to discharge standards into a water body of fishery importance.

The main tasks of modern treatment facilities include the removal of pollutants, the reduction of biological and chemical oxygen demand, and the disinfection of water before its discharge or reuse. In addition, such facilities ensure the minimization of negative impacts on the environment, increase energy efficiency and allow integration into sustainable development systems of cities and industrial enterprises.
