Design and Cost Estimation Services for the Construction of a Drinking Water Pipeline in Tsovinar Community, Gegharkunik Region, Armenia
Another Porject implemented by BIM Engineering team: 2021 – Design and Cost Estimation Services for the Construction of a Drinking Water Pipeline in Tsovinar Community, Gegharkunik Region, Armenia
As part of the project, the construction of a new water pipeline was planned to address the community's drinking water shortage issues.
During the studies carried out by the company, it was recorded that the existing system had been built during the Soviet era. However, over the years, due to community development, population growth, increased household and small-scale agricultural activity, industrial expansion, and deterioration of the existing infrastructure—leading to greater water losses—there arose a critical need to provide additional water resources. This would make it possible to ensure a stable 24/7 water supply for the settlement and extend daily water supply hours to a full 24 hours.
During the design phase, a phased approach to solving the identified problems was considered. Under this contract, the aim was to increase water supply volume to the settlement through the construction of additional sources and a transmission pipeline. The project also took into account the community’s long-term administrative and planning developments.
The project included a technical description and performance indicators for the proposed and implemented works.
