Design Works for the Construction of Drinking Water Pipelines, Transmission Mains, and Hydraulic Engineering Structures in the Villages of Aragyugh, Zoravan, and Saralanj of the Nairi Community

To improve the reliability of water supply and the operational efficiency of the network in the project villages and the Yerevanyan district of the city of Yeghvard, the company proposed and designed the rerouting of existing main pipelines. The new routes relocated the pipelines from dozens of privately-owned land plots to roadside areas. Simultaneously, old steel and ceramic pipes were replaced with HDPE polyethylene pipes, significantly increasing the durability and lifespan of the system.

In the villages of Saralanj and Zoravan, the project also included the expansion of the existing water distribution network, taking into account the recent development of the villages and the increase in new households.

During the preparation of the design and cost estimate documentation, the system was modeled using the WaterCAD software. Economically optimal pipe diameters were selected, and DMA (District Metered Areas) were defined based on the local and regional topography, pressure management needs, optimal use of gravitational energy, and operational experience provided by the local community.
