Preparation of Design and Cost Estimate Documentation for the Rehabilitation of Drinking Water Supply Pipelines in Yeranos Community, Gegharkunik Region
One more project implemented by BIM Engineering team: 2021 – Preparation of Design and Cost Estimate Documentation for the Rehabilitation of Drinking Water Supply Pipelines in Yeranos Community, Gegharkunik Region
The project aimed to complete the main water transmission pipelines serving a community of 5,600 residents. A portion of these pipelines had previously been replaced by the municipality using various funding sources due to their poor condition and high water loss.
During the design phase, based on on-site studies and hydraulic calculations conducted by the company, twin pipelines were designed to run along the same trench. This approach would enable the “Hamalyir” area of the community—currently undergoing active development with new households, summer homes, and cultivated gardens—to have a separate supply system. This system would provide proper pressure distribution through newly designed regulating nodes.
In addition, the system would allow for the seasonal use of surplus water resources for irrigating agricultural lands, thereby addressing future increases in water demand driven by the area’s ongoing growth.
